No class on Monday!

Due to it being a bank holiday on Monday and the fact that Moberley Sports center will be shut, we're sorry to say there will be no indoor academy class. Take this opportunity to rest up and enjoy an extended weekend ready to get busy at the beginners indoor class in Westminster Academy on Tuesday. If you're at a loss for things to do, why not check out our Facebook page, Twitter, YouTube Channel or Flickr groups. Click on the links in the footer of the page!

Yamak Adventure

On top of the Evry event next month, Majestic Force have also organised two 5-day workshops to experience the Yamakasi training method. One is from July 5th to the 9th and the second will be August 16th to the 20th and will incorporate accomodation and a five day adventure never to forget. This workshop was especially conceived by Yann Hnautra (Yamakasi founder) in collaboration between Majestic Force/ADD Academy and the association Raid Aventure Organisation. New Flyer / Timetable.

We've just received our new batch of flyers in the post and are happy to say that it contains a lot more (and much clearer) information about all of our available classes and timetable. You can access a copy online from the bottom of the side-menu in the classes pages or alternatively click HERE to see front and back images on the flyer. We will be handing them out to all instructors and team in the coming weeks, so if you want one, don't hesitate to ask!

ADD Experience - Evry.

Our partners at Majestic Force have just released the details for their international gathering for Art du Deplaement, Parkour and Freerunning in Evry, France. Playing host on June 25th, 26th and 27th, Majestic Force have organised the three day event to be ram-packed with meetings, workshops, displays, training and seminars. Off the wall - Elephant & Castle

This months Off-the-Wall Jam will be held on Sunday 30th at Elephant and Castle estate from 1.30pm. The gathering is a monthly event which is open to anyone and everyone to come and train, have fun and socialise with other traceurs and traceuses from all over the country. Whether you are an absolute beginner or seasoned veteran the event is a great way to share tips, train and enjoy an afternoon with other parkour practitioners. Team members from Parkour Generations will also be at hand for any questions or queries you may have regarding any of the aspects of the discipline. See you there!

Camden Adventure Workshops: May 29

Last year we ran workshops on a development site in the Camden Borough of London within Kilburn Grange Park, to help design and create a new interactive adventure playground site for young people. The project was run with Erect Architecture and the site is now complete - the Open Day happens on Saturday 29th May, and we will again be on site running open workshops to celebrate the innovative new site. Shaped by the local children once they had been inspired through some on-site parkour training, the playground is original, creative and inviting, and should prove a great addition to the borough.

Italy Seminar Tomorrow

Tomorrow sees 7 of the team heading to Rome, Italy to teach at the Ecce Parkour II event alongside the Yamakasi founders of Majestic Force and the Italian parkour associations. The location will be different from last year's venue and boasts a custom built parkour structure purpose-made for the event. The gathering will be three days long, running from the 21st May to the 23rd, with workshops and seminars plus Q&As with the Yamakasi and our team throughout. Should be an amazing few days in Rome!

ADD Experience: June 25-27

At last, the full details of this year's international gathering in France, the ADD Experience, can be found online at the ADD Academy website. The event is led by led by the Yamakasi founders of Majestic Force and is a weekend full of activities, workshops and live performances by some of the founding members of the art and many of the best practitioners from around the world. We are very much looking forward to being there again, and we hope as many practitioners from around the world can travel to Evry, France, to take part in this historic gathering. Stephane and Blane at Morzine

We can now confirm that the principal instructors for this year's Morzine Training Camp in the French Alps will be Stephane Vigroux and Blane. Anyone who has been on a previous Morzine experience will know that it is great fun in a stunning alpine setting, but also a week of intensive training that pushes you to the limit... It's filling up fast, so anyone interested should hit the link above and book a place now.

America Bound

With the American Rendezvous seminar just around the corner (May 28-30), the full schedule has now been finalised and can be seen here. We are now taking 7 of the Parkour Generations Team out and 3 of the Yamakasi founders from France, as well as film-maker Julie Angel. Should be an amazing event and we are looking forward to seeing the American community again and spending some time with our hosts at Parkour Horizons in Ohio. Footage and photos will follow..!

Sticky's London Marathon Leg

Veteran practitioner Sticky is well into his 1000 mile charity run from the northern tip of Scotland to Paris, birthplace of the art. This Sunday, May 23rd, he will hit London, where he will run a marathon distance incorporating all of the best London training spots on his way and be joined by many of the Parkour Generations collective and Academy body. If you want to run the London leg with him to show your support and assist in his task of raising awareness of motor neurone disease, please gather outside Moberly Sports Centre (home to some of our Academy classes) in Kilburn for a 9.30am start. Women's Jam Today!

Today we are holding this month's free, open Women's Jam in London at the Earlsfield training location from 1.30pm. The Women's Jams are open to female practitioners of any level of ability and experience, and are fun, relaxed gathering that allow women to get together, share training ideas, practise and generally have a blast. Some of our team are always on hand to help out, so please feel free to come along and dive in. If you don't know the area, gather for this jam outside Earlsfield train station (10 minutes overland from Waterloo) between 1-1.30pm. Streetcamp V: Denmark

Today is the last day of Streetmovement's annual training event for young people in Denmark, Street Camp V. Street Camp is an event held twice a year for 13-18 year olds. The camp runs for four days with lots of inspirational training at Denmark's very best facilities, namely Gerlev Sports Academy just outside Copenhagen and the bespoke Streetmovement Park. This year team member Blane has been in residence teaching there the entire week as a special guest, and he has had a great time doing so. Well done to the Streetmovement team for putting on another highly successful event and we look forward to their big gathering in August this year...

We have just opened up a new Flickr group that anyone and everyone can post to and comment on. This function allows you to add any of your parkour photos to the group for the entire global community to see. Go wild and upload whatever you think will do you justice, but we recommend going for quality over quantity!

Spiked Parkour Magazine: May Edition

In this edition of the world's first parkour magazine we have some great parkour coverage from around the world including an exclusive interview with Seb Foucan, parkour techniques and training tips from Parkour Generations, loads of input from the global parkour community, including coverage from Swiss group Try n Trace and American group Parkour Horizons, plus some of the top parkour pics taken by YOU the practitioners from around the globe. We have a new section on role models, where we interview individuals who are both inspirational and actually put something back into the community, plus fitness advice from Forrest and a sneak preview of Julie Angel's forthcoming Ph.D thesis, which provides the most comprehensive historical analysis of the discipline ever. Team America...

With the forthcoming American Rendezvous event now so close, we are pleased to announce that we are now bringing additional instructors to help cater for the larger number of people who have signed up to attend the three days of training. Team members Alli, Dom and Annty will all be on board for the trip, joining Stephane, Dan, Blane, Chris, and Chau, Yann and Laurent of the Yamakasi founders. Julie Angel will also be in attendance to cover the fun and frolics... The event runs from May 28-30 in Columbus, Ohio, and all details can be found on the dedicated site HERE. We can't wait to get out there to see the American community again, and this time it is promising to be bigger and better than ever.

BBC Shoot with Developing Athletes

This Sunday some of our Developing Athletes will be shooting with the BBC for the brand new urban music and culture show, hosted by Radio 1Xtra's Mistajam, No Hats, No Trainers. The episode airs on June 5th, and will follow the guys for a day to get an insight into their training and approach to parkour. We'll have the footage up when it's available.

ADAPT Course - Middlesex

This weekend sees the next UK ADAPT instructor qualification course happening in Middlesex under the auspices of the National Governing Body, with completion of the course occurring on the following weekend of 22/23 May. This is a Level 1 Assistant Instructor course being run by Stephane, Dan and Forrest, and is fully booked, with the next available courses happening over the Summer in London. Goldcards & Silvercards!

At long last, the day that many of our students have been waiting for has arrived! We can now officially unveil our brand new payment scheme available to anyone who participates in any of the Parkour Generations classes. The store now has both the Goldcards and Silvercards in stock, ready for you to purchase. The Silvercard will allow unlimited access to any of our INDOOR classes through the week (Which is now up to six classes!) for the price of £30. For the mathematicians out there, it means that since the class prices have been raised to £6 last week you will be making a saving if you attend to more than five classes a month (Which many of you do!). For an even bigger saving, the Goldcards at £60 a month will enable you to attend all of the INDOOR and OUTDOOR classes. Again, this can be huge savings for a lot of the students that regularly attend the classes. All of the teachers and team have also been given Gold and Silvercards to sell, so if you wish to buy a card just have a word with your instructor and one could be your's there and then!

Pocket TV Shoot

Today saw team member Andy providing the action doubling for the presenter Matt Edmondson of Sony Ericsson's music television show Pocket TV. Pocket TV is an innovative concept show that can be downloaded to your phone or watched online, and aims to give a different kind of insight into the music world. We'll get some footage of the shoot up when we have it.

London Women's Jam: May 16th

American Rendezvous Booking Almost Closed..

There are some four days left to make your reservation for American Rendezvous this month May 28-30. The event includes seven highly-experienced instructors to provide training over the three days of the event; a 15:1 student to instructor ratio on Saturday & Sunday, with a ratio of 10:1 on Friday; training at scenic Old Man’s Cave on the Friday; film presentation by Julie Angel, Blane and the Yamakasi founders; Q&A sessions with the Yamakasi founders and Parkour Generations team. This is a quick notice to remind all of our academy class students that Moberly Sports Centre will closed today, Monday 3rd May, due to it being a Bank Holiday. Normal service will be resumed with our beginner class on Tuesday 4th May at Westminster Academy from 8pm. Indoor Academy Classes now £6.

Starting today the price of the Indoor Academy classes are now being slightly raised to the very reasonable amount of £6. If you haven't been to any of our Indoor Academy classes then come and check them out. Our Beginner classes regularly attract between fifty to sixty practitioners every week and is a great starting point for anyone wanting to dive into Parkour. This is a notice to all students that this Sunday (9th May) there will not be a weekend wakeup class with Andy and Blane but will resume the following Sunday. If you find yourself a little lost without some weekend training why not visit the Forum and organise a Jam of your own or alternatively visit the Facebook page and see who will be kicking around and training in your area.
